The best one for dragon is the NC7100 usb http://www.voicerecognition.com.au/images/product. nc7100.large.jpg

Will the blue tooth type be adequate?
Wanting to broadcast to a laptop, with the unit outputting into Word or Wordpad. Version 9 sounds fairly robust and hoping it can deal with the wireless transmission, especially if trained with the bluetooth.
Sound reasonable?

Also, what about the conference mic's. With absence of noise canceling, can Version 9 deal with that?

Heres the issue. Ive been told that the bluetooth support is only available as a separate vocab/accent option with US ENGLISH, so not for australians and other accents.

Hence its not really a selling point. Its mentioned in the literature for the purposes of the US market.

The problem is:

Bluetooth generally records at 8 KHZ which is too low a sampling rate for Dragon.

Secondly theres a lot of low cost cheap bluetooth headsets that have very poor quality components and most dont have mic booms so you are sgetting a LOT of noise which makes them unsuitable for dragon.

Lastly BT is a range of only about 10 metres.

Its a pity but its best to be armed with the facts than purchase BT and be disapointed.

The CS60 USB microphone from here http://www.voicerecognition.com.au/plantronics_cs6 0_wireless_usb_headset.htm works brilliantly with dragon. It has up to a 50 metre range and has very clear auido input at USB sampling rates. I have one of these and love it.

The Andrea Supabeam Array mic http://www.voicerecognition.com.au/andrea_array_mi crophones.htm is a much better choice than the mvoix conference units. The Mvox units are 8KHZ sampling also so no good for dragon, but great for VOIP and chatting.

Hope this helps.:D
